The concept of repair is a hinge for this exhibition. Repair has two meanings: both ‘to mend’ and ‘to return’. This exhibition is a return to memory, prompted by an inherited bed cover that once belonged to my Babcia (grandmother). It came into my possession in a state of significant wear – beyond mending – and full of traces of the past. The works displayed are my attempt to make two moments touch through re-enactment and material engagement. They are my own traces, mapping personal recollections of divination rituals, daily walks, gentle gardening and the tactility of home.
